On the 16.09.2010 Global Data released the switching charger module GD22012ASC. It adopts GD22012AT base to use 12V output and to boost it enough to smart charge a 1.2Ah-7Ah lead acid battery. It has three modes of operation – on backup supply using the battery when mains power fails, battery charging when mains power is restored and battery switch off when reaching a predefined battery state of discharge in order to keep the battery in good condition.
The GD2010ASC delivers the perfect solution for an uninterruptable power supply for the GD08AC and GD09ACEM modules with two card readers and one door lock up to 450mA. With a minimum power loss it has an outstanding performance with minimum change of operating temperature. It gives long life to battery due to a special algorithm of charging and protection from deep discharge. It also provides full information data logging to Automation & Security software GD2010ASC – it measures and reports output voltage, battery voltage, charge current, output current and battery state.
